TALENDANT

SAVING YOUR BUSINESS

Unlock your delivery

Our only focus is unlocking your team's ability to deliver.

The specific approach that we take depends on you and the organization. Delivery problems are a symptom of organizational, technical, and structural issues, and solving those problems requires a different approach for every organization.

One of our CEOs said it best when he summarized our engagement:

Our delivery was not where it needed to be and were missing revenue opportunities. We needed to uplevel our technology organization, not just from a people standpoint, but our entire process needed to be re-thought. We took some small interim steps to try to introduce improvements, but without a larger, cohesive plan, they seemed to make things worse. Internal promotions and organizational realignment only caused internal team strife and confusion. Technical leadership was the core of our problem. They didn't recognize the issues or drive changes to resolve those issues. When they made incremental changes, under pressure, they quickly abandoned them. The team soon lost confidence that change was even possible.

Introducing Talendant to our team of developers provided instant credibility. It was concrete proof that the company (and our non-technical CEO) was seriously addressing the problems in the department and was treating them holistically. Bringing in an expert in the field provided instant credibility that can't be obtained by reading a book or following the latest trends.

The scope of engagement was self-reinforcing. Talendant started by reviewing every aspect of our technology organization from structure through architecture, to leadership performance. They where then able to provide concrete steps to implement for the short, medium, and long term. They were also able to zero in on the skill sets we had and what we were lacking. The position we ultimately filled was, therefore, a complement to the existing skill sets and talents that existed. The implementation document that Talendant delivered was a playbook for our new CTO as he worked over 90 days to implement the recommended changes.

Client CEO

Our engagements have three parts:

  1. An in-depth evaluation of your company, with several days spent on-site interviewing team members and observing meetings that and a deliverable that serves as a comprehensive guide to transforming the organization.
  2. If necessary, we find engineering leaders that will be more effective.
  3. On-going mentoring and decision support for leaders in your organization as they drive transformation.
